Numbers and pegs!

This activity was so easy to set up – using just number flashcards and pegs – and amused both my toddler and preschooler. My toddler (currently 20mo) is learning numbers, so I thought I would introduce him to a visual concept of ‘how many’ by placing the corresponding number of pegs on the flashcards. He needed some help with the pegs as he doesn’t quite have the finger strength yet. It is a really good way to practice counting, improve those fine motor skills and improve number recognition. And it’s fun!

Inquisitive

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
