Practising threading with cheerios and pipe cleaners

My toddlers little fingers are busy…he’s always trying out new things. And threading objects is one of those lessons that improves fine motor skills and spatial awareness. So I thought we could use one of our favourite ingredients to practice our threading- cheerios! That way if a few of the ‘beads’ got nibbled in the process of the threading, well, it wasn’t the end of the world. My toddler (20mo at the time) really got the hang of this – and rewarded himself pieriodically with a nibble! I think we will have this activity out again.
