Making Anzac biscuits for Australia week
For our ‘Australia week’, it seemed obvious that we should make some Anzac biscuits – biscuits originally sent to the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps serving in Gallipoli. We used this recipe, which was straightforward for my preschooler to do and yielded delicious results. We added a few extra oats, and a little more butter and golden syrup than in the original recipe.
The boys loved eating them, and it was great to explain where they came from!
