Amazon Rainforest!

One of the first things I think of when I think about Brazil is the Amazon river and the rainforest. So I thought, let’s create this in our home! I painted some trees and filled a tub with some coloured water. The boys played happily in the ‘Amazon’ with an assortment of items for a while. Then it was time to fill the rainforest with some animals!

We made a pipe cleaner chameleon – from this link – and a parrot – see my post on making a parrot .

We then made a monkey and a snake using paint, wooden spoons and pipe cleaners.

It was so much fun, and such a colourful afternoon! My preschooler then put on a show with the animals behind the trees for my toddler and I to watch which we thought was fantastic!

Inquisitive

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
