Books for England week

We certainly had no shortage of books we love for England week. Of course we read ‘Let’s visit London’ – see my post on the Bella and Harry adventure series for more on why we love these books! Since my boys are familiar with London, they loved recognising the sights in the book. We also read ‘St George and the Dragon’, and ‘Dick Whittington’ from an Usborne Young Reading set. These were great, and particularly good when we made a dragon for St. George’s day (see my post here).

We found the above left hand book in our local library, and it was a great read – factual, but engaging and complemented the Bella and Harry book nicely. The Dog Detectives book was aimed more at my 18mo (although my 4yo certainly enjoyed it too), and was a fun story about lost ravens from the Tower of London.

Inquisitive

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
