We had the Oxford and Cambridge boat race as part of ‘England week’. Science experiment and craft in one! We made little boats out of cardboard and cut a triangle out of the back. A squeeze of washing up liquid into the water makes them go surface tension). We did this several times as my preschooler loved it (with new water each time!).
