Lederhosen stick men!

When we were making ginger beer for Oktoberfest – see my post here – I felt like we needed to have some lederhosen men to come to the festival.

For this craft, you will need – craft sticks, feathers, card, felt pens, scissors and glue. I made a stick man first so that I could show my preschooler what we were aiming for, and then I helped him to make his own. I also explained that lederhosen is the traditional German costume. He was very keen to make his little stick man! I drew out the shapes for him to cut out, and helped him with the fiddly bits.

He really enjoyed sticking the feather on and drawing the face on the man. We talked about them having a drink of the ginger beer he made at Oktoberfest, and he liked that idea!
