Books for Italy week

We are lucky this week, there are three Bella and Harry books for Italy – Let’s visit Florence, Let’s visit Venice and Let’s visit Rome. We haven’t read the Let’s visit Florence book yet, but we certainly love the other two. See my post on the Bella and Harry adventure series for more on why we love these books!  My pre-schooler’s favourite is definitely Lets visit Venice. We have read this many times since our ‘Italy week’. He just loves the fact that Bella falls out of a gondola and gets wet! The book inspired our Venetian mask craft activity – see my post here.

The other book we have loved as part of Italy week is ‘Androcles and the Lion’ which we got from an Usborne Young Reading set. It is a great, light-hearted story that introduces various concepts from ancient Rome such as gladiators and the Colosseum. We love it!

Inquisitive

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
