Chocolate egg nests for Easter

Easter wouldn’t be complete without some chocolate nests! These ones are very simple and fun to do with the kids.

You will need

  • 150g milk chocolate
  • 75g butter
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 100g cornflakes
  • mini eggs for decorating
  • 12 muffin cases

To make, first melt the chocolate, butter and golden syrup in the microwave – I did it in one minute bursts and then stirred to ensure it melted evenly. Mix them together and then add the cornflakes. Ensure the cornflakes get an even coating of the chocolate mixture.

Next separate the mixture into 12 muffin cases and then put the mini eggs on top. Place into the fridge for at least half an hour until they are set.

What kid (or adult!) wouldn’t enjoy those at Easter!

I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
