Easter egg hunt with a twist!

“Quick! Pirates have stolen the Easter treasure, and you need to rebuild the key to unlock the treasure chest. Your mission is to find the eggs hidden by the naughty pirates around the room, place them onto the key and only then will the treasure chest be opened.”

This was the mission I gave my son and his excited friends when they came to play. I used white tack for the spots where the eggs were to go and a pirate puzzle box shaped like a treasure chest we happened to have, and then taped the key to the door and set them off on their challenge.

It was brilliant! The boys loved the concept, and it meant there was teamwork involved in finding the eggs rather than a squable over who had the most/saw it first etc. Everyone had lots of fun!

Inquisitive

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
