Easter fingerprint art and bonnet

My son’s nursery was doing an Easter bonnet parade and we were tasked with making an Easter bonnet at home and bringing it in. He likes to do things ‘all by myself’ in his words, so I tried to think of how we could make something that was (almost) entirely done by him, but still conveyed Easter.

So I came up with this Easter fingerprint painting. Very simple – I drew the outlines of crosses and Easter eggs, and he dipped his fingers into paint to fill them in. And then we made it into an Easter bonnet!

Of course, you could just stop at the picture stage for a bit of painting fun.

Hi! I’m Claire, stay-at-home-mum to two gorgeous boys and a lovely girl. My kids are energetic, spirited and full-of-life, and they certainly keep me on my toes. I love spending time with them and seeing them learn and experience new things – I hope that this blog will give you ideas to try out on the children in your life!
