Painting the solar system

For our ‘space week’ we’ve been learning out our solar system. My son has got really into the planets. So I drew out a picture of the solar system for him. His first task was to find the planets (I bought a tube from amazon – see link below) that I’d hidden around the room, identify them and then match them to the right planet on my picture. Then it was time to paint the picture. He even decided to do some space walking! It was a great way to get him learning about the planets.
